Everyone Must Eat
Food that Nourishes

A clinic built on one belief: good nutrition belongs to every family, every budget and every stage of life.

Our Story

A kitchen-table idea that grew into a clinic

Saffron Table began in 2016 when our founder, dietitian Maya Raman, started hosting free evening workshops in a borrowed community kitchen. Parents arrived confused by conflicting advice and left with a single-page meal plan they could actually cook.

Today our team of six registered dietitians serves more than 5,000 patients a year — in person in Portland and online across the country — with the same kitchen-table warmth: clear science, zero judgment and food you will genuinely enjoy.

Our Values

What guides every plate we plan

Evidence first

Every recommendation traces back to peer-reviewed research — never fads, never fear.

Food is culture

We build plans around the flavors you grew up with — including South Asian, Latin and Mediterranean kitchens.

No shame, ever

Weight-inclusive, judgment-free care. You will never be scolded for what is already on your plate.
